HOUSTON, Aug. 28, 2017 -- DynaEnergetics, a leading provider of well perforating systems to the oil and gas industry, today announced it was named the 2017 Manufacturer of the Year by the Rocky Mountain Oil & Gas Awards organization. The award was given in recognition of DynaEnergetics’ achievements with DynaStage, the industry’s first and only factory-assembled, performance-assured perforating system.
A member of the Oil & Gas Awards’ judging committee noted, “This is ground-breaking technology that I’ve not previously come across. The system dramatically improves safety, reduces personnel on the frac site and cuts the bottlenecks traditional operations are facing with old technology.” Another judge noted DynaStage “is dramatically improving performance, well-site safety and reducing costs for the operator.”
The DynaStage system is produced, assembled and tested in DynaEnergetics’ U.S. manufacturing facilities, then delivered directly to the customer’s well site or staging facility. The system enables customers to transition away from traditional field wiring and assembly of perforating guns.
Frank Preiss, DynaEnergetics’ vice president and general manager of the Americas, said, “We are very proud of this recognition, and extremely gratified by the commercial success DynaStage is achieving in the market. Customer demand for the system has grown rapidly in 2017, and we recently announced plans for a substantial increase in our DynaStage manufacturing and assembly capacity.”
Preiss said customers are reporting substantial improvements in the efficiency and reliability of their perforating programs after switching to DynaStage. “One of our customers in the Rocky Mountain region’s D-J Basin recently reported it has deployed more than 7,000 consecutive DynaStage units without a misfire or failure. By comparison, a failure rate of 1-in-100 has historically been considered best-in-class performance when using conventional guns.”
“This award is a fitting tribute to the efforts of the entire DynaEnergetics team,” Preiss added. “We look forward to delivering ongoing product advancements that will further enhance the efficiency of our customers’ perforating programs, while lowering their overall operating costs.”
