Folsom, CA, Dec. 05, 2017 -- Sierra Pacific Mortgage is proud to announce that the company’s Chief Operating Officer, Gary Clark, has been elected to the Residential Board of Governors (RESBOG) for the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). RESBOG is a committee of industry leaders who set the priority of issues for the MBA in the coming year. As one of 31 voting members of RESBOG, Clark will help shape the MBA’s position on various issues that will impact the mortgage industry.

On being elected to the RSEBOG, Gary said, “It is an honor and a privilege to have been asked to serve on the Residential Board of Governors of the MBA. I look forward to my first two-year term and helping to advance the issues confronting our industry.”
The MBA is a respected and trusted organization whose opinion is highly valued. They represent one voice, one vision, and one resource. The association has a reputation as a fact-based organization and is frequently called upon to testify before Congress regarding various housing issues.
Important issues that RESBOG will tackle in 2018 are regulatory clarity from the CFPB as well as the GSE Patch, which if left unaddressed could lead to a 15% reduction in homeownership opportunities throughout the United States.
“We are very proud to have Gary represent Sierra Pacific Mortgage’s voice on RESBOG,” said Executive Vice President, Chuck Iverson. “We know that Gary will be an advocate for the independent mortgage bankers and will help the MBA prioritize increased homeownership opportunities.”
With more than 30 years in business, Sierra Pacific Mortgage has been, and continues to be, an avid supporter of the MBA. The company is proud to have dedicated and thoughtful representation within the organization through Mr. Clark.
