On Thursday’s episode on “Grey’s Anatomy,” Alex Karev’s (Justin Chambers) life appears to be back on track following his brutal physical (and eventually legal fight) with Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti). Thanks to Ben’s (Jason George) intervention, Deluca dropped the charges. E! said in a recap. Alex found himself getting reinstated at Grey Sloan, and a cordial reunion with love interest Jo ((Camilla Luddington).
But there’s a possibility that DeLuca’s motives were not as kind as the conversation he had with Alex.
Telling The Hollywood Reporter, Chambers reveals, "If anything, Alex is going to start questioning why DeLuca would let him off the hook. Maybe he has feelings for Jo or maybe he doesn't want to cause any more problems at work because he's a young doctor who has his whole future ahead of him at the hospital. It's really interesting, we'll see what happens in the future — if there's a love triangle and where they go from here."
Meanwhile, the tension between Maggie and her mom Diane (LaTanya Richardson Jackson) unravelled when it was revealed that the latter has an aggressive form of breast cancer, Cosmopolitan notes. When Diane had an opportunity to tell Maggie about the real reason she visited her daughter, Maggie explodes and blamed her for “destroying the family” by divorcing her father and moving away. Diane leaves after she advised her daughter to contact her when she’s “ready,” although the reunion might be sooner than later since she failed to tell her daughter about her condition (and Jackson, being her doctor, does).
On the other hand, should we ring in another couple alert? Bustle said the sexual tension between Eliza Minnick (Marika Dominczyk) and Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) reached a tipping point when the former cornered the latter and accused her of trying to get her fired so they could could finally “date and kiss.” Arizona appeared to be insulted with the subtle accusation, but unless Eliza drops her plans to oust Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr), the pairing will not happen
