Hite Jinro Co.’s flavored soju is now being sold at 17 Costco stores in the US, including Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois, amid the company’s increased efforts to penetrate the American market.
South Korea’s leading beverage maker made its products available in four flavors.
The company plans to expand its soju products to five more Costco outlets in San Diego, California.
The beverage manufacturer intends to expand the number of Costco stores that sell its goods while increasing brand recognition through its retail sales channels, notably in the states of Texas and California.
In the first half of this year compared to the same period last year, Hite Jinro's soju shipments to the US increased by 107.4%. The business entered into a partnership with low-cost merchant Target in 2019 to sell its flavored soju in 15 shops in California.
