Ivanka Trump will soon be stepping down from her post as White House adviser following the recent elections. However, speculations have now surfaced that Donald Trump’s eldest daughter may be looking to run for Senator.

Many have now wondered what Ivanka may be planning to do after her stint at the White House and following the purchase of a plot of land at an exclusive Miami neighborhood, speculations are rife that she may remain in politics. To be specific, she may be eyeing a Senate seat with her father’s Florida resort Mar-a-Lago as a possible base for her to start her career in politics. Florida also happens to be a state that has warmly received the Trumps. The Senate races start in 2022 and Ivanka may try and run for incumbent Marco Rubio’s seat.

However, a source told CNN that Ivanka has yet to figure out what position to run for. “Ivanka definitely has political ambitions, no question about it. She wants to run for something, but that still needs to be figured out,” said the source. According to former Tampa Bay Times editor Adam C. Smith, Ms. Trump could easily become a favorite should she run for the US Senate against Rubio because of her father’s popularity.

It is not just Ivanka that may be eyeing a possible Senate bid in 2022. Speculations have also surfaced that Ms. Trump’s sister-in-law Lara Trump may also be looking to run for senator in North Carolina. Donald Trump Jr. is also highly speculated to enter politics.

Prior to their future move to Florida, Ivanka and Jared may be looking to return to the social scene in New York. However, it remains to be seen whether they would be welcomed back. Some have speculated that the state’s socialites are ready to “shun” the couple especially as New York is a state that heavily favored her father’s opponent, president-elect Joe Biden during the elections. Ivanka’s former friend, Lysandra Ohrstrom, wrote a tell-all piece about the White House adviser in Vanity Fair, saying that Ms. Trump may receive a warm welcome in Florida rather than New York.

“I expect Ivanka will find a soft landing in Palm Beach instead, where casual white supremacy is de rigeur and most misdeeds are forgiven if you have enough money,” wrote Ohrstrom.
