Ivanka Trump is planning to remain in the political world after getting some experience as one of Donald Trump’s senior advisors. Now, as she will soon lose her position in the Trump administration this January, the 39-year-old is said to be planning her next step already as she wants to continue with her political career.
Looking to serve Florida
As per CNN News, friends and associates of Ivanka Trump are convinced the First Daughter is eyeing a government position once Donald Trump and his family leave the White House. It was mentioned that she is likely to run for governor in Florida.
"Ivanka definitely has political ambitions, no question about it," an insider told the news outlet.
"She wants to run for something, but that still needs to be figured out."
Although this was the statement, Ivanka Trump may bid for the gubernatorial office in the future and hoping she will secure this post in Florida. It was stated there is also the possibility of running for congress in either Florida or New Jersey, where they have vacation homes.
Political observers think that the eldest daughter of the POTUS will be the one to follow in his footsteps in the political arena. They noted that Ivanka is speaking out more these days and seems to have adopted in the hostile atmosphere of politics. She has become more aggressive to defend herself and counter the critics.
"Of all the children, Donald Trump is focused on her running," another source shared. "He sees Ivanka as the heir apparent."
Ivanka furious at her deposition
Meanwhile, Ivanka Trump was deposed on Tuesday as part of Donald Trump’s inauguration fund lawsuit. It was claimed that the 2017 inaugural committee paid the president’s hotel in Washington a huge amount, which was deemed to be improper.
The First Daughter was interviewed by lawyers from the attorney general’s office in Washington, D.C. She was questioned for the alleged squander of the inaugural funds by paying over $1 for the use of space at the Trump International Hotel in the said state. While she attended the questioning, Ivanka Trump called the move “harassment” and “waste of money.”
"This week I spent 5+ hours in a deposition with the Democrat D.C. AG's office where they questioned the rates charged by the Trump Hotel at the inauguration,” Ivanka tweeted on Dec. 3. “I shared with them an email from 4 years ago where I sent instructions to the hotel to charge ‘a fair market rate’ which the hotel then did."
