“We are excited and pleased to welcome Jonathan Oliver to the San Francisco Federal Credit Union family. He brings extensive experience, insight and vision to take our credit union to the next level,” Smith said. “Jonathan comes to us from UNIFY Financial Federal Credit Union as the EVP and Chief Operating Officer, a $2.6 billion credit union based in Southern California. Under Oliver’s leadership the credit union grew from just over a billion in assets with 18 branches to 60 branches throughout 16 states. Oliver was relied on for his leadership and expertise in operations, lending and sales and played an instrumental role in 11 mergers which more than doubled the size of the credit union,” concluded Smith.
“There is no doubt this is a great opportunity for me,” Oliver said. “San Francisco Federal Credit Union is one of the premier credit unions in the nation. Its management team and employees are dedicated and talented professionals — something that’s reflected by the continued growth of the credit union’s membership, the sustained and unprecedented growth of its loan portfolio, and a keen focus on member service.”
In addition to his extensive career with UNIFY Financial Federal Credit Union, Oliver worked in both the Banking and Home Loan Divisions of Washington Mutual. During his tenure, he helped develop the Bank Lending Channel from inception to include more than 1,200 loan consultants across the nation, and he was instrumental in developing and implementing core sales and marketing strategies for the lending and consumer banking divisions throughout his career.
Oliver holds a masters of business administration from Pepperdine University, and a bachelor of science with a double major in Finance and Psychology from Portland State University.
