Jungkook, the youngest member of BTS, is making a new headline last weekend after his solo track that was included in his group’s album titled “Map of the Soul: 7” became one of the most popular songs. It was reported that since the album was released in February, his solo song has been trending in various music outlets and charts.
iTunes Chart’s new record
As per Allkpop, Jungkook's “My Time” single already broke a number of records. Some of his achievements for this song include ranking on top of Billboard’s Hot 100 and Highest-charting solo single in the U.S. in the first week of its release. It was added that after his previous song “Euphoria” went high on the charts again to mark the single’s anniversary, “My Time” came in at no. 2 on worldwide iTunes charts.
It was reported that in UAE and Singapore, Jungkook’s latest song took the no. 1 spot on iTunes, and this is not all as “My Time” also took over the charts on Spotify as it surpassed over 30 million streams. This is really a great achievement for an idol singer and BTS.
It is yet to see if Jungkook’s “My Time” can replicate the same huge success of “Euphoria” that was even used as background music in dramas not just in South Korea but in the U.S. as well. There is still a lot of time to prove how far his new song can go.
TC Candler’s nominee in 2020
Meanwhile, Jungkook has been nominated once again in TC Candler’s most beautiful faces for this year. The organization announced the nominees late last week and many are expecting the BTS maknae to win in this year’s competition as well.
“As always, the first nominee of the year for The 100 Most Handsome Faces of 2020 is last year's champion... Jungkook of BTS,” Candler’s introduction of the idol singer reads.
Jungkook ranked first in last year’s race with Twice’s Tzuyu placing first in the most beautiful category for females. This is an annual event being organized by TC Candler & The Independent Critics since 1990. The nominees are celebrities and famous people and it allows fans to vote for their favorites.
