Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) is bringing back one of its favorite food items to its restaurants in the United States. The chicken wraps are making a comeback and will be on the menu starting Nov. 12.
KFC launched two variants of the wrap earlier this year, and they instantly became a hit with diners. As per Restaurant Business, the fried chicken fast-food chain will offer Classic Chicken Wrap and Spicy Slaw Chicken Wrap again, and a third flavor is set to be introduced.
KFC Wraps Returning on a Special Deal
It was reported that the restaurant chain decided to bring back its chicken wrap menu as other fast food started to launch their versions of the same food item. But on its comeback, KFC offers a new flavor alongside the first two variants of the crispy chicken wrap.
Moreover, KFC said it will offer a special deal to mark the return of these favorites. Customers may buy two for just $5, and the KFC Wraps combo option, which consists of two wraps, a solo serving of Secret Recipe fries, and a medium drink, will be sold for $8.49.
New Flavor for Chicken Wraps and Brownie Dessert
The all-new wrap food menu combines KFC's crispy fried chicken tender with tortilla and dressing. Customers love this item as it is filling and a good option for those who do not want bread for their chicken tenders.
In any case, the lineup for the wraps includes the classic flavor, which features extra crispy, tender, crunchy pickles and mayo, while the spicy slaw chicken wrap has the same tender and pickles but dressed with spicy sauce and KFC's coleslaw.
The newest addition to the lineup is the Mac & Cheese, which has the same ingredients minus the pickles and coleslaw. In their place, cheddar mac & cheese filled the wrap and sprinkled with a three-cheese blend. The three are served in warm tortillas.
"Since we introduced KFC Wraps earlier this year, others have followed with their versions – but why go to a burger chain for a fried chicken wrap, when you can get a craveable wrap with KFC's world-famous fried chicken?" KFC US' chief marketing officer, Nick Chavez, said in a press release.
Meanwhile, KFC is also introducing a new dessert, available on Nov. 12. The new Family-Sized Brownie is just $6.99 a la carte and can be added to meals. Customers will surely love a homestyle, fudgy chocolate chip brownie.
