Krispy Kreme is celebrating the feast of St. Patrick's with the release of its new donut collection created for the occasion. For starters, customers who will visit the brand's stores on March and March 17 will see the place decorated in green, and the new donuts will be up for sale as well.
What's more, as per People, those who will come to any Krispy Kreme location on the said date wearing green will also be given free original Glazed Donut. The best thing is that purchase is not even necessary to get the freebie.
In any case, Krispy Kreme is releasing four new festive St. Patrick's Day donuts, and this was announced last week. The new collection is already out in stores since March 10 to prepare for the upcoming celebration honoring the foremost patron saint of Ireland.
The Krispy Kreme's St. Patrick's Day donut collection will be sold in a custom box featuring designs inspired by the Irish festival. Customers can choose from these fresh flavors, including the Lenny Leprechaun Donut - a glazed donut in green and black icing to resemble the leprechaun. It is filled with buttercream and decorated with a fondant hat.
The St. Patrick's Shamrock Donut is filled with the brand's signature kreme, while the sides are dipped in white icing and sprinkled with shamrock sprinkle blend. The Luck O' the Rainbow Donut is Krispy Kreme's original glazed donut covered in green icing and sprinkles. The top is decorated with buttercream and rainbow sugar candy.
The fourth flavor in Krispy Kreme's St. Patrick's Day collection is called the Green Iced with Sprinkles Donut. It is a donut treat with green icing and sprinkles blend.
"While many have questioned what's really at the end of a rainbow, this year we're all in luck that it's a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts," Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme's chief marketing officer, said in a press release. "Whether you share a dozen of our new St. Patrick's Day collection with friends and family or enjoy our classic O'riginal Glazed Doughnut while wearing green, discover the real pot of gold this St. Patrick's Day at a Krispy Kreme shop near you.
