LaMelo Ball’s Puma MB.03 releases in three “Team Bank” colorways on July 1st and heads to South Beach with the “Miami” edition debuting on July 5.
LaMelo Ball’s Puma MB.03 Low Unveils Three 'Team Bank' Colorways, Launching July 1
As Sneakers News reported, LaMelo Ball's most recent low-top signature is the Puma MB. 03 is set to captivate a wider audience with the exclusive release of three essential 'Team Bank' colorways on July 1st. This follows the successful debut of the Puma MB.03 Low last week, making this an extraordinary event for sneaker enthusiasts and basketball fans.
The shoes retain most of the Puma MB.03's signature features, except for the claw-like cutouts in the quarter and the external heel cushioning, which have been eliminated to accommodate the smaller canvas. Instead, the TPU treatments on the base extend upwards toward the eyestay and collar, thereby emphasizing the pattern that commences on the midsole beneath the foot.
The shoe's active tooling presents a challenge in that all three "Team Bank" colorways achieve a simple, agreeable aesthetic without diluting the model's eccentric nature. The delivery comprises black, red, and blue pairings matching the Charlotte Hornets' uniform colors.
The Puma MB.03 Low "Team Bank" bundle will be available on July 1st at Puma and select retailers for $115. This price is identical to the MSRP of the "Triple White" colorway, which was the low-tops initial release.
LaMelo Ball’s Puma MB.03 'Miami' Edition Set to Debut on July 5th with Vibrant Colors
The Charlotte Hornets are gearing up for the 2024-25 season with a fresh start under the leadership of a new head coach and president of basketball operations. The health of our young star, LaMelo Ball, who continues to shine in NC despite some unfortunate sideline stretches, is a significant factor in our hopes. Rest assured, LaMelo Ball's most recent pair of shoes, the PUMA MB.03, are a testament to his resilience and is ready to make a statement in South Beach for its forthcoming edition.
The vibrant pink and turquoise hues of Miami Vice undoubtedly reference the 305. However, Ball's lack of genuine connections to the region means that this shoe merely employs a complementary colorway that has been established. Those vibrant hues are evident throughout the profile, but the upper is most striking due to the marbled interplay that underpins it.
Even though Melo is not of Miami descent, the color scheme on exhibit here aligns with the model's strengths, as she frequently employs these playful, multi-colored ensembles. This can be interpreted as a GR inversion of one of the most distinctive colorways in the shoe's history, which involves inverting and slightly tinting the Kid Super PUMA MB.03 (still available in limited sizes).
The PUMA MB.03 "Miami" is scheduled to be released on July 5th and priced at its standard $125.
