There’s still no news about the progress made in “Lost in Space” Season 2 despite the fact that filming was scheduled to wrap up in January. If everything went smoothly, then the series is currently in post-production where the CGI and visual effects are being integrated into the footage.
With “Lost in Space” Season 2 on its current state, it’s expected that it will be released in the fall, perhaps on the month of November. The assumption stems from the fact that a novel based on the Netflix series is set for release on that month, Screen Rant reported.
However, Netflix did say that the release date of the novel will not echo that of “Lost in Space” Season 2, adding that they don’t have an official timetable when audiences can expect the second entry. This is surprising given that the description of the novel itself is claiming that it will be, ThatHashTagShow reported.
“This action-packed, middle-grade novel is the first in a series that focuses on 11-year-old Will Robinson and his two older sisters, Judy and Penny. Timed to coincide with the debut ‘Lost in Space’ Season 2, this novel is based on Netflix’s ‘Lost in Space’: a dramatic, modern reimagining of the classic 1960’s science fiction series,” the description read.
Looking at the series’ official Twitter page doesn’t yield that much information either. The last time that the handle posted about “Lost in Space” Season 2 was on May 14. The 15-second clip merely said that the second installment would be coming soon. It also hinted at the possible danger that the protagonists would face throughout the story.
The finale of the first entry ended on a major cliffhanger after hurtling the Robinson to an unknown location in the galaxy. It heavily hinted that “Lost in Space” Season 2 will be exploring the place where the robot originated, which means that its bond with Will (Maxwell Jenkins) will be one of the highlights of the story. Hopefully, we hear from Netflix soon as fans of the series are excited what’s in store for the Robinsons given their current predicament.
