Fans of “Supernatural” and “Lucifer” will be delighted to know that there will be some sort of connection between the two series in the latter’s upcoming episode. Meanwhile, lead actor Tom Ellis explained why their move to Netflix is letting “multiple bum shots” make the final cut in “Lucifer” season 4.
“Supernatural” and “Lucifer” are two of the well-known dark fantasy TV shows today. So having their worlds collide in any way possible will most likely stir fans’ interest even more. As for “Lucifer” season 4, that happens with Richard Speight Jr.’s directorial gig for the Netflix show’s seventh episode.

Speight’s inclusion in the production of “Lucifer” season 4 was recently confirmed by Aimee Garcia. The actress, who will reprise her role as Ella Lopez in “Lucifer” season 4, shared a photo of her and Speight together on set.
Garcia only confirmed that Speight is directing a “Lucifer” season 4 episode. But CarterMatt reported that Speight’s work is focused on episode 7, titled “Devil Is as Devil Does.” Speight has had several opportunities to direct an episode for “Supernatural,” including a couple of installments for its 14th season.

On the other hand, it can be recalled that “Lucifer” season 4 almost never happened when Fox axed the series. Luckily, news broke in June that Netflix had resurrected it. Aside from allowing the show to continue, the move to Netflix has several other perks, especially for viewers who have been adoring the hunky body of Tom Ellis, the actor portraying the titular character.
During the ACE Comic-Con earlier this month, Ellis said Netflix already loved the previous seasons of the show, so having many changes in the storytelling was unnecessary. “But there were certain restrictions that we had when we were on network television that meant that maybe we couldn’t do as much as we wanted,” Ellis shared about “Lucifer” season 4 (via Comic Book).
“So things like my bum, which I was never allowed to show before, and lots of people want to see it … There will be multiple bum shots,” Ellis confirmed. But the actor also promised that they are careful that no form of nudity in “Lucifer” season 4 will lead to “vulgarity.”
“Lucifer” season 4 is expected to have 10 episodes streaming on Netflix. Production is still in full swing but the show is expected to have its Netflix debut in 2019.
