DENVER, Nov. 30, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Marley Coffee (OTCQB:JAMN), the sustainably grown, ethically farmed and artisan-roasted premium coffee company today launched a holiday giving initiative, the #1CupCares campaign. For every order placed on Marley Coffee’s online store, customers may select one of three charities that will receive a $1 donation funded by Marley Coffee on the customer’s behalf.
Rooted in the Marley family values of love, passion and social responsibility, #1CupCares bolsters the company’s ongoing commitment to creating positive change through coffee and highlights three organizations from around the world with unique missions that align with the brand's values. For this initiative, Marley Coffee has selected to partner with: The Joan Duncan Foundation, a program in collaboration with the Ministry of Education in Jamaica to develop, support and steward transformational initiatives in education and entrepreneurship; First Descents, which provides free, life-changing outdoor adventures for young adults impacted by cancer; and Soccer Without Borders (Colorado Chapter), which uses soccer as a vehicle for positive change, providing under-served refugee youth with a toolkit to overcome obstacles to growth, inclusion, and personal success.
Rohan Marley, Chairman and Founder of Marley Coffee, said, “#1CupCares celebrates the meaning of the holiday season. It combines two things that I’m most passionate about: giving loved ones the gift of Marley Coffee, and reigniting a commitment to work together to build a better world. I am positive that this initiative will make a tremendous impact through these causes that are near and dear to me.”
Marley Coffee has added new holiday gift sets and other items in addition to the selection of their award-winning coffees available at marleycoffee.com so shoppers can find the perfect gift for the coffee lovers in their lives, and give back to those in need with every order.
The company will continue to give 1 cent of every EcoCup recyclable single serve capsule and a portion for every My Cup and Mile High Blend bags of coffee sold directly to Water Wise Coffee™, a nonprofit sustainability initiative dedicated to improving water quality in regions affected by coffee production. The #1CupCares initiative will run from November 30th through December 25, 2015.
