Melania Trump turned 50 on April 26 and she celebrated her special day in a simple way since the country is still in lockdown due to the increasing cases of COVID-19. The White House chief of staff Stephanie Grisham stated that the FLOTUS stayed in the official residence.
Donald Trump’s birthday gift to his wife
Grisham further told Fox46 News that the First Lady had a small gathering with her family on Sunday. Now, most people want to know if she received any gift, especially from her husband and it was revealed that she did.
The POTUS publicly greeted Melania Trump via social media but he surely kept it at minimum. On Sunday, he wrote: “Happy Birthday to Melania, our great First Lady!” The White House’s official Twitter also posted a greeting but it was a bit better with the accompanying photos.
“Suspicious” birthday gift from the POTUS and the public
In any case, it turned out that the president has another plan to make his wife’s birthday more special despite the quarantine. It was revealed that the president organized a “happy birthday” drive where they emailed people so they can send their birthday wishes to the FLOTUS.
This is supposed to be Donald Trump’s gift to Melania - a million greetings from the Americans; however, because of what was asked when submitting the forms for the birthday greeting, the POTUS’ unique gift raised suspicions.
The Atlantic reported that those who got the email were asked to provide personal details such as name, zip code, email and mobile number. It was said that the recipient would see the “Can you keep a secret?” in the subject line and then they are asked to fill the info. After sending the filled out form back, it was supposed to be part of Donald Trump’s surprise gift to Melania.
But people are asking why can’t the POTUS just send a card or flowers to his wife and opted to do the million wishes birthday gift instead. Some say Donald only used Melania’s birthday to collect the people’s info for their database, for future use. Whatever the truth is, Melania Trump’s reaction to this unusual gift from Donald Trump was not revealed. It is not known if she even received this surprise “gift” in the first place.
