Michael Schumacher figured in a freak skiing accident nearly five years ago but his fans still do not have any idea how is he these days. They want to know about his current condition but it is not just out of curiosity but because many fans still love the F1 legend although he is not active anymore.
However, Michael Schumacher’s family is still very firm with their decision not to release any update about his health or how is he doing thus people continue to wonder if Schumi can still really recover. They want him to see him again but their hopes are being dampened when the family continues to be secretive.
Now, with the lack of update, many are starting to think that he may never get better that is why the Schumacher family refuses to talk about the racing champ. But how true is this? What is Michael Schumacher’s real health situation?
In December 2013, he was put into a medically induced coma after suffering from grave head injury while skiing with his son in the Alps. It was said that he was put into a coma for six months but when he awoke in June 2014, he started rehabilitation at the University of Lausanne.
Soon, in September of that same year, the family decided to continue his medication and rehab right in their home so they brought all the equipment and tools needed for Michael Schumacher’s recovery.
Since then, there was no news about the progress of Schumi’s health but some of his friends who have visited him offer bits of updates. So, is Michael Schumacher getting better? Stefano Domenicali, one of the racer’s closest friends revealed last year his friend can sit up on a wheelchair but it was heartbreaking when he saw him crying when wheeled to the view of the mountains and lake.
Also, a magazine claimed last year that Michael can already walk again but this proved to be false and Bunte, the publication that wrote the article was sued. Because of the case, it was revealed that Michael Schumacher cannot walk and can’t even stand even with the help of his therapists.
While Michael Schumacher’s health condition seems to have no significant improvement until now, many of his friends still believe that he could make it and come back to the race track once again, even he will just be in the audience.
