“NCIS” season 16 episode 10 is officially the 2018 holiday special of the popular CBS police procedural show. And just like the previous years, it seems like Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and his team will have to hold off on their holiday plans as a new case emerge.
CBS released the official details for “NCIS” season 16 episode 10 and it appears there will be two mysteries the team will have to solve before they can go home for Christmas. As usual, someone winds up dead which calls for an investigation. But added to that is the task of finding a home for a newborn baby.
The title “What Child Is This” will give viewers the impression that the discovery of the baby is also a focus of the upcoming investigation. CarterMatt also pointed out that it is a clear nod to a popular Christmas carol, which confirms “NCIS” season 16 episode 10 is this year’s official holiday special.
Gibbs, McGee (Sean Murray), Bishop (Emily Wickersham), and Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) will be called in after a Navy veteran is found murdered in “NCIS” season 16 episode 10. But their work will take an interesting turn after discovering the newborn baby.
Meanwhile, every episode where a child is involved lets viewers see through Gibbs’ more delicate personality — a welcomed break from the typical serious-looking boss. Aside from Gibbs, other team members such as McGee and Jimmy (Brian Dietzen) are now fathers as well. So “NCIS” season 16 episode 10 can be expected as another case that will hit close to home for the team.
The case is also much more complicated as the team will not be able to find any next of kin to take care of the unidentified baby in “NCIS” season 16 episode 10. The “NCIS” Christmas specials over the years always end up on a feel-good note.
However, with this dilemma at hand, it is interesting how the show will warm the hearts of its fans in “NCIS” season 16 episode 10. “What Child Is This” will air on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
