‘Penny Dreadful’ Season 3, Episode 6 Spoilers: “No Beast So Fierce” – Vanessa Meets a New Ally Against Dracula

‘Penny Dreadful’ season 3, episode 6 welcomes Vanessa back as she meets a new ally for her struggle against Dracula, who continues to pursue her. The incoming episode, entitled “No Beast So Fierce”, will also find Ethan back in Jared’s ranch where trouble begins to stir.

According to Hollywood Hills, Vanessa Ives (Eva Green) will turn to an old friend for help then is introduced to a new female ally, Catriona Hartdegen (Perdita Weeks). It seems that Catriona may have encountered Dracula herself as Vanessa confides in her. Meanwhile, Ethan Chandler (Josh Hartnett), Sir Malcolm Murray (Timothy Dalton), and Hecate Poole (Sarah Green) make it to Jared Talbot’s (Brian Cox) ranch where estranged father and son meet head to head.

Episode 6’s promo opens to Vanessa disclosing her fears to Dracula as he is disguised as Dr. Alexander Sweet (Christian Camargo). She says, “There’s a creature hunting me. He’s been hunting me since the dawn of time.” Alexander proceeds to asking her for the creature’s name as Vanessa remains oblivious to the beast in front of her.

The next scene introduces Catriona, an essentially new character who may play a key role in Vanessa’s redemption. Catriona warns Vanessa, “If Dracula wanted you dead, you would be.”

Finally, Ethan is seen having dinner with several people in Jared’s household. He says a macabre version of the Lord’s Prayer as the others look on. Scenes flash of an impending gunfight within the ranch.

Another sneak peek video posted on Spoiler TV  featured a conversation between Vanessa and Catriona where the latter explains Dracula’s origins. She says, “He was said to be the first vampire. One of the few written accounts of him is Ottoman. It tells of an ancient being flushed with youth – a strategist changing his appearance and identity from century to century. It calls him a seducer but in the antiquated form of the word… one who is able to lead men astray to corrupt. Beyond that, there’s not a lot.”

Vanessa proceeds to tell Catriona that she desires only to find Dracula in the present time to which her new acquaintance tells her that the truth will be shocking. The two eventually reach an understanding of working together in order to defeat Dracula.

‘Penny Dreadful’ season 3, episode 6 is scheduled to premiere on June 5 on Showtime.
