Change is the only thing that is constant in this fast pace world. And the movie Prometheus is no exception to this as director Ridley Scott announced that they will change the title to Alien: Covenant, instead.
The second instalment is unlikely going to be a sequel to the hit movie as what many fans are expecting. It would’ve been great to see the story of Shaw and David continue in the follow-up, but it appears Scott is taking the franchise in a new direction—one he intends to circle back around to the first Alien after two more Prometheus sequels.
Fans are raving for answers as to who the cast will be and it was announced by Scott that Noomi Rapace will not be coming back to reprise her role as Elizabeth Shaw. The disembodied head of Michael Fassbender’s David will also not be returning, which will surely sadden all his female fans.
Many speculations have been made as to who the new cast will be but it was discovered that the team is now on the hunt for possible actors to play the part. Part of the speculations and rumours is that Katherine Waterston will be part of the team as she is in the talks to star as one of the new crew members.
Director Ridley Scott was asked about the casting news and he replied saying "We're still casting the main roles,”. Production is expected to begin later this year in Australia ahead of Alien: Covenant’s October 6, 2017 release date.
