The delay of Galaxy S21 FE has become official with the start of a new month. However, recent reports have provided a better scenario as they claim the mid-range phone is not canceled. But Samsung’s adjustment for its release window may have pushed its launch to 2022.
So far, several notable leakers have agreed that the Galaxy S21 FE is currently planned to be unveiled in January next year. But there are conflicting reports as to the device’s specific launch date. Most recently, SamMobile reported that Samsung is planning to announce the smartphone during CES 2022, which happens on Jan. 5-8, 2022.
The report was not clear, though, if that means Samsung is gearing up for a full Galaxy Unpacked event that will coincide with CES 2022. The same publication previously claimed that the company might announce the Galaxy S21 FE through a press release only.
Meanwhile, the latest leak provides a different date than the one previously provided by Jon Prosser. The leaker, who also hosts the YouTube channel Front Page Tech, said the Galaxy S21 FE launch was “rescheduled” to Jan. 11, 2022. Max Weinbach, another noted tech news source, replied to Prosser’s post saying he “can confirm” the provided date.
With conflicting dates provided by the above-mentioned sources, it may be best for Samsung fans to take both information with a grain of salt. It is also not surprising that the reported Galaxy S21 FE launch date keeps changing, given the current situation in the supply chain. But what these reports tell consumers is that Galaxy S21 FE is unlikely to be canceled, and it could be released very early in 2022.
The changes in the Galaxy S21 FE time frame may have also affected the release window for the Galaxy S22 series. Samsung’s next flagship phones were initially expected to launch in January 2022, but that might not happen anymore if the company wants the Galaxy S21 FE to get all the attention that month.
The Galaxy S22 launch might follow shortly after Galaxy S21 FE, though. Recent reports suggest Samsung may hold an Unpacked event during Mobile World Congress in late February where the Galaxy S22 series could be announced.
Meanwhile, WinFuture reported over the weekend that Samsung had already started the production of Galaxy S22 components. This is yet another indication that the series is still slated to launch in early 2022.
