The first part of “Sword Art Online” Season 3 is done and now, fans are in for a long wait for the second part to come out. Anyone who knows what is waiting for the characters in the anime will understand the need for the hiatus, though, since “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Part 2 will involve a huge battle. Considering the quality that went into animating this season, it makes sense that the studio would want more time to work on such scenes.
As TheAnimeScrolls reports, “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Part 2 will be titled “War of Underworld,” which gives away the premise of the second part of the season. For those who need a refresher course, Underworld basically refers to the VR environment that Kirito is stuck in. The war, in question, is a reference to the upcoming conflict that will ensue following the Administrator’s death.
With the unquestioned ruler of the light part of the Underworld eliminated, the army that she was holding back from attacking no longer has that obstacle to contend with. In “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Part 2, this massive force will make a move to invade and it will be up to Alice to muster up a force to resist. Kirito will join in, of course, but at a huge risk to his life.
Basically, the protagonist of the anime will be putting his own life on the line, once again, in order to save virtual characters from death. In the meantime, a real-life threat will also be gunning for his real body in “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Part 2. Asuna will likely prevent any harm from befalling her beloved, but this element of danger will certainly spice things up a bit.
As for when fans can expect “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Part 2 to drop, Oct. 6 is the date worth keeping in mind. It is a few months away, so patience will be necessary here.
