A Tesla owner recently shared a startling account of an anti-Cybertruck incident that nearly turned tragic, raising concerns about the growing hostility toward the electric vehicle.
Anti-Cybertruck Sentiment Surfaces
Cybertruck farmer and Tesla owner has posted a short video documenting the aftermath of a terrifying incident that appeared to have been triggered in part by a motorist's criticism of the electric pickup truck. If you have strong opinions about the Cybertruck, Teslarati thinks now is a good time to ask you to tone them down.
By documenting his everyday use of his Cybertruck as a farm vehicle, Braden Smith—who hosts a TikTok channel about his Idaho family's farm—has amassed a sizable online following. The owner of the Tesla boasted in earlier videos about how well the electric pickup truck has been handling the daily rigors of farming.
Cybertruck's Presence Provokes Reactions
But, as Smith pointed out in a recent video, the Cybertruck's impact on some drivers may be becoming too much. Somewhat irritated by the presence of his Cybertruck, another driver in a regular pickup truck apparently became defensive as he prepared to load his boat onto his truck.
The driver allegedly hit a tree with the pickup's trailer after letting off the gas pedal far too far. According to reports, the truck, trailer, and boat were all thrown down a ravine after the driver allegedly hit a boulder while overcorrecting.
Growing Hate Toward the Cybertruck
Thankfully, the Tesla owner mentioned that everyone inside the pickup truck was unharmed, but he did point out that there is an excessive amount of hate towards the Cybertruck, which he has personally witnessed. Indeed, one could argue that things have truly reached a breaking point when lives are endangered only due to the presence of a vehicle.
Disapproval of the Cybertruck is, to some extent, predictable. Elon Musk, who is himself very divisive right now, heads the firm that makes the car, and the car seems divisive simply looking at it.
Mainstream Media's Take on Cybertruck
Even the mainstream media has painted a bleak picture of the Cybertruck, and users have been more than happy to air their grievances openly on social media.
