Bethesda Softworks ended 2019 and opened 2020 with huge announcements about the future of “The Elder Scrolls Online.” Generally, gamers should look forward to the year-long roadmap of patches and new gameplay content to be released for the game.
Events for the game throughout 2020 is under the new story called “Dark Heart of Skyrim” that obviously brings the players to Skyrim. As for the next chapter, players should expect a new zone to open along with the arrival of new dungeons and boss enemies in the launch of “The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor.”
‘The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor’ gameplay: What new features to expect in the next chapter
When the end of “The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr” was near, developers released a cinematic trailer that revealed two major things: Abnur Tharn is dead (many remain unconvinced, though) and the game will return to Skyrim. Making things much more interesting, it has been announced that “The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor” will open up a new zone in the Skyrim where most of the important actions will be set.
Most details about the new Western Skyrim zone have yet to be revealed. What’s known about this zone is that it is a cold area with High King Svargrim as the leader. All factions can enter this zone in “The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor,” but note that it is not covered by the Ebonheart Pact.
Western Skyrim appears to have a very intricate map, too, with five holds, namely Falkreath, Haafingar, Hjaalmarch, The Reach, and Whiterun. Its capital city is Solitude, and these areas are likely available for players to explore. However, the most interesting is Blackreach as it is “deep underground” with caverns as huge as provinces.
‘The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor’ release date: Will it arrive at the same time on PC and consoles?
“The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor” will not be released in a few months. There is a little conflict when that exactly happens based on two official websites. One page indicates it will go live at the same time for PC/Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on June 2. However, in an official blog post detailing the next chapter, it is said to be released earlier on May 18 for PC and Mac while console players are getting on June 2.
