It’s not often that gamers are given a chance to win actual money by playing video games, at least if they are not competitors in an eSports tournament. In the case of “WWE 2K19,” though, players are given a chance to go through a new mode called Towers, which contains various challenges. This could lead to an eventual matchup against WWE star AJ Styles for the opportunity to win $1 million.
Make no mistake. This “WWE 2K19” offer is real, and gamers can take a look at the details over at the game’s official website. It’s open to players in most states in the US, as well as 14 other countries. Naturally, this kind of prize won’t be easy to get.
The prospect of winning that much money will undoubtedly attract some of the best players in the world who have dedicated themselves to mastering the craft of mashing buttons. With regards to the Towers mode that “WWE 2K19” will be introducing, it’s mainly a ladder challenge. Players will pick their wrestling character and climb vertically to get to the top of the Tower.
Along the way, there will be various challenges and conditions that gamers will need to keep in mind. The chance to win $1 million lies in the mode called “AJ Styles Million Dollar Tower,” and it will be much more difficult to overcome than regular Towers. In the details page featuring information on the new “WWE 2K19” mode, 2K explains how it’s going to make winning that prize money as hard as possible.
“Not only are the opponents in this Tower a collection of some of WWE’s finest, but they are also set at higher difficulties. Finally, a player’s health does not regenerate in between matches,” the page reads.
Those who do end up getting past all of the obstacles that 2K has set for “WWE 2K19” will then be flown over to New York City for Wrestlemania 35, along with three other players. These participants will need to take each other out until only one remain. The survivor will immediately faceoff against AJ Styles and winning means getting that $1 million.
“WWE 2K19” will launch on October 5, 2018, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and the PC. However, this challenge is only open to the console versions of the game. PC players cannot participate.
