My research interests are in the area of urban policy, urban governance, democratic planning, deliberative democracy in planning, metropolitan strategic planning, transport policy, and planning instruments.
I'm currently working on a 3-year Australian Research Council Early Career Research (DECRA) Fellowship titled "Planning is a state of panic: Did the economic crisis transform city making practices for the long term?". This project will examine how local democratic planning practices have been transformed by periods of economic uncertainty and large-scale economic shocks.
