John Duah

Assistant Professor of Health Services Administration, Auburn University
John Kwame Duah is an Assistant Professor in the Health Services Administration Program at Auburn University. He received his doctoral degree in Health Administration from the Herbert H. & Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, in 2022. Dr. Duah holds an MA in Emergency Management and Homeland Security from the College of Public Service and Community Engagement at Arizona State University, an MPH-Health Policy Track from Mayes College of Healthcare Business and Policy at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a BS in Animal Sciences from Washington State University, Pullman, Washington.

Dr. Duah's research areas of interest are in health systems strengthening, maternal and child health, quality improvement, community-based participatory research, health disparities, infectious disease surveillance, and pandemic preparedness and response. His recent research project has focused on points of entry surveillance for emerging infectious diseases like Ebola Virus Disease and COVID-19 in resource-challenged environments in West Africa.

In his current capacity, Dr. Duah plays a pivotal part in shaping the education of undergraduates. He teaches courses centered around healthcare policy, management, and leadership. His passion lies in crafting innovative solutions that yield improved patient outcomes.
