The launch of “Cyberpunk 2077” is an event that the gaming community is waiting for with bated breath and some analysts are predicting that it is going to be released next year. What’s more, the estimates for the number of copies that will be sold sit at a comfortable margin. Is this the prediction with the highest chance of coming true yet?
This prediction comes courtesy of the stock analyst firm StockWatch where one of its members released a report that includes “Cyberpunk 2077.” Specifically, the report notes how the game is likely to come out in Q4 2019. The analyst even included an estimate of how many copies of the game are likely to be sold within a period of three months. A translated version of the report has been circulating online.
"Cyberpunk 2077 vs Red Dead Redemption 2: We're keeping to the estimate of a debut in Q4 of 2019, with sales of 19 million copies in Q4 alone, and income of 1.9 billion PLN (about 525 million USD). During a conference call, the Board has confirmed that quality remains the absolute highest priority for CD Projekt, and Cyberpunk 2077 will be no less elaborate and polished than Red Dead Redemption 2,” the translated copy of the report reads.
A 2019 release period of “Cyberpunk 2077” is something that a lot of fans of CD Projekt Red is undoubtedly hoping for, mostly because of how they want to play the game right away. However, even the most conservative estimates in the past have placed the launch date at 2020, at the earliest.
Then again, this is just a forecast and nothing is ever set in stone in the video game industry. If “Cyberpunk 2077” does end up getting released during the period highlighted in the report, this would be great. If it isn’t, it just means that the developers have more time to make an even better game.
