It may seem impossible not to hear President Donald Trump attack and insult someone whether publicly or behind his phone screen. During a press conference in India during his visit, Trump seemed to fire shots at almost everyone, including the reporters that were present.
It is understandable why First Lady Melania Trump’s Be Best campaign is not effective, with one reason being her husband, who has been constantly attacking and insulting everyone he does not like. It still applies to the press conference he held in New Delhi while on his India visit. Politicalflare reports that Trump lashed out on reporters, officials, nearly everyone while making false claims and accusations on others.
The first of a few points was that Trump demanded that Supreme Court Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor recuse themselves because they did not support him in 2016 and for an inappropriate statement respectively.
The second highlight from the press conference was when Trump lashed out at a CNN reporter for saying that they have a better record when it comes to presenting the truth. “Your record is so bad you ought to be ashamed of yourself,” remarked Trump.
The third was that Trump accused Democrats such as former First Ladies Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton, of “loving” convicted rapist and sex offender Harvey Weinstein. This was in response to a question directed at him regarding the case.
Other highlights from the press conference included Trump lying about the reason why he decided to dismiss DNI Joseph Maguire and replace him with the U.S. Ambassador to Germany and known Trump loyalist Richard Grenell as Intel chief. Trump claimed that he was required by law to fire Maguire.
Naturally, as footage and updates regarding the press conference were shared online, this was met with outrage from the public on social media. Regarding the accusation Trump made towards Obama and Clinton about Weinstein, one commenter pointed out how Trump was friends with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Another commenter called Trump an “international disgrace” over his remarks, claims, and accusations. Greg Pinelo called the press conference “Trump Embarrassment World Tour” while Susan Hennessey commented on Trump’s demand that Ginsburg and Sotomayor recuse themselves, “By this astronomically dumb logic, shouldn’t justices who supported Trump in 2016 should also recuse themselves from cases involving him?”
