Donald Trump is staying at the White House for another 4 years, according to a woman from Abilene, Texas named Teressa Mattingly-Clouse. She said that she can say this because she believes God will let the president remain in his position as president for one more term.
Trump to remain as president?
KTXS12 News reported that Mattingly-Clouse’s support for Donald Trump is evident as even her home is decked out with something related to the POTUS, such as a cardboard cutout of Santa Claus created in the likeness of the president. She also has signs of Trump’s name plastered on her window, and one side of her house features Christmas lights shaped in letters to form the word “Faith.”
"I believe the Lord is listening. I believe he's been listening a long time, he gave us a gift," the news outlet quoted her as saying. "We need to have faith in our election or we are done as a country."
Apparently, Mattingly-Clouse is convinced that Donald Trump defeated Joe Biden in the November election. Thus, she is urging the citizens to fight for the POTUS to remain as America’s leader. "We just have to fight for our country, God and pray," she added.
Republicans are fighting for Trump
In any case, the said Abilene woman may think that her prayers are being heard because a group of Republican senators is preparing for their planned move to stop the certification of Joe Biden’s win in the presidential race. He is already set to be declared as the official 46th president of the U.S. this month, but the GOP will object, so the authentication of the election results may be delayed.
At least 11 senators led by Ted Cruz are set to vote for the rejection of Joe Biden’s win, as per Fortune. They will be requesting for 10-day investigation concerning the allegations of cheating during the elections.
Although Donald Trump already filed cases and they have been dismissed in court, the GOP senators are pushing for it again. For most people, this is an attempt to block Biden and overturn the election results in favor of the POTUS.
“Congress should immediately appoint an Electoral Commission, with full investigatory and fact-finding authority, to conduct an emergency 10-day audit of the election returns in the disputed states,” Cruz and the other senators said in a joint statement. “We intend to vote on January 6 to reject the electors from disputed states as not ‘regularly given' and ‘lawfully certified' unless and until that emergency 10-day audit is completed.”
