Vance, recently announced as Donald Trump's running mate for the upcoming election, emphasized that his comments were taken out of context. He argued that being a parent provides a unique perspective that should be valued. In response to Vance's recent Fox News appearance, a Harris' election campaign spokesperson issued a strong statement condemning his political views. The statement accused a potential Trump-Vance administration of aiming to control personal aspects of Americans' lives, such as banning abortion, restricting contraceptives, and interfering with reproductive health treatments.
