Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez were recently spotted shopping for jewelry together. While it might have just been a simple trip to the mall, it still reignited rumors of their engagement.
Reports have it that the couple was seen at the Miami Design District on Friday. A source of Page Six added that Lopez and Rodriguez spent a good 30 minutes inside a Cartier store before leaving “hand-in-hand [with] smiles from ear-to-ear.”
However, it does not seem like this particular day at the mall would lead to an actual engagement between Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez. The couple has been the subject of several rumors that they are on the path of getting married but nothing really panned out to be real.
The most recent engagement rumor that Lopez and Rodriguez faced came out after they watched World Series game together last Oct. 24. The former New York Yankees player posted a video on Instagram where fans saw the “World of Dance” judge and executive producer wearing a huge diamond ring.
In July, Lopez and Rodriguez shared photos of their summer date by the beach where the singer-actress also wore a diamond ring. Not surprisingly, it sparked a wave of engagement rumors at the time, which they later denied in various media appearances.
Alex Rodriguez was a guest on the “Today” show in early August where he confirmed that the ring Jennifer Lopez was seen wearing in July was a gift from him and that it has an important meaning to their relationship. However, he reiterated that he did not give it to her after a marriage proposal.
On the other hand, Lopez had also addressed claims that she and Rodriguez are tying the knot soon during a radio show interview in August. The “Maid in Manhattan” star outrightly denied being engaged.
Meanwhile, a source of Us Weekly previously said Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez decided they do not want to rush into getting married. “Everything is working out so well, she doesn’t want to jinx it or change anything,” the insider said.
