Michael Schumacher’s health is a big mystery because his family chose to keep the details of his health condition just to themselves since he suffered from severe brain injury in 2013. The racing champ had a bad fall while skiing in the Alps with his son and he almost died on the spot if not for the swift action of his rescuers.
Almost six years after his freak accident, Schumacher appeared to have not recovered yet. However, he could have improved a lot by this time, but his family just won’t share any updates.
The fans are begging for information
Michael Schumacher’s fans are said to be already begging his family to let them know what is happening to their favorite sportsman. They would like to know if he is awake or better yet, can he sit up or even walk already?
It breaks their hearts if Schumacher is still suffering, so they want to be assured that he is alright. Many fans said that they miss him so much while others stated that they stopped watching F1 when he retired.
“Still breaks my heart that I don’t know how he’s doing,” one fan said. “I wish for him, that he knows what Mick is doing.”
Corrina’s update
According to Express, Corrina, Michael Schumacher’s wife, offered an update. Although it was quite vague, she is at least saying something now. “Michael is a fighter and will not give up,” she allegedly said last month.
There were suspicions that Schumacher might still be bedridden and being cared at his home in Switzerland, but his family refused to confirm this report. Thus, there is a big chance that he is actually able to sit and even stand or talk already.
Fans want Michael to keep fighting
Michael Schumacher’s fans showed how much they love him by continuing to support him even if no one saw him in public again since his skiing accident. They also set up a website for him and simply named it “Keep Fighting.” On the page, the hashtag #KEEPFIGHTINGMICHAEL was highlighted, and they also posted Schumi’s famous quote that now applies to his condition.
“I’ve always believed that you should never, ever give up and you should always keep fighting even when there’s only a slightest chance,” Michael Schumacher remarked in 2007.
