Online outlet Play-Asia has announced that it is accepting bitcoin payments for users who want to buy tangible or digital items with cryptocurrency. The payments are accepted through bitcoin payment processor, BitPay.
Reports by TheMerkle stated that with the addition of bitcoin payments, digital currency enthusiasts get virtually everything gaming-related at their disposal, regardless of their location. Play-Asia’s products have Asian games and themes, including figurines, memorabilia, and others. PSN and Xbox game cards, Steam codes, and even controllers are all available at Play-Asia.
“While some of you may have noticed during the checkout process, we'd just like to officially announce that we now finally accept Bitcoin as a payment option! For those who have been requesting this for some time, thank you for your patience, and we hope that this can make your experience with us even better,” the announcement stated.
