It has been a while since Target has had a PS5 restock. However, a reliable source has reported that the retailer may have available units to drop in the coming days.
Where to look for PS5 restock this week
Target’s official website currently lists the disc version of PS5 as sold out, while the digital-only units are available in very limited quantities. The good news is the retailer is reportedly getting several PS5 disc consoles arriving this week.
The information comes from the reliable PS5 restock source Jake Randall, who shared a couple of images showing that Target is expecting to replenish its inventory of the new-gen Sony console. However, it appears that the retailer is only expecting the disc versions of the gaming hardware and the units to be delivered are not that many.
Randall adds that Target could offer around 10 to 20 units only once the new PS5 stocks are made available online. But this should still be a welcome development considering how it is still difficult to find an available console at the right price.

GREAT NEWS! This is the biggest Target restock in months, with stores receiving 10-20 Disc version PS5’s THIS WEEK! Remember to follow @Jake_Randall_YT because I always show photo proof of the internal inventory from employees (see date/time in part 2) pic.twitter.com/iiDp6vPUhf
Target usually opens the sales for available PS5 units on Wednesday and Thursday, so the reported restock for this week could happen on July 28 or July 29. The same retailer is also known for putting up available PS5 consoles online quite early in the day. Randall advises that the incoming units could drop between 6:30 a.m. ET / 3:30 a.m. PT and 9 a.m. ET / 6 a.m. ET.
Things to remember when waiting for PS5 restock
Target may not be the only retailer to have a PS5 drop this week, so it helps to be prepared to purchase from other stores. Over the last few weeks, Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart, Newegg, and Amazon are among the websites that get available units from time to time. Console gamers may want to keep track of the latest information from sources like Randall and Matt Swider, who both provide real-time updates on Twitter whenever a PS5 or Xbox Series X/S restock is live.
Aside from knowing the likely date and time of the PS5 drop, it also helps buyers to prepare for other things. They should sign up for an account on the retailer’s online store because this will allow for faster checkout. Customers have to make sure their information, including delivery address and payment details, are accurate and up to date to avoid issues while making a purchase.
