Senior U.S. officials are reportedly preparing for a potential military strike on Iran as early as this weekend, Bloomberg reported. Multiple federal agencies are mobilizing in anticipation of a possible escalation, though the situation remains uncertain.
A direct U.S. strike would mark a major turning point in the Israel-Iran conflict, which has intensified over the past week. Tehran has warned of severe consequences if attacked, raising concerns about a broader Middle East war.
While the Trump administration has sent strong signals—deploying additional military resources to the region—its exact stance on direct intervention remains unclear. U.S. military bases in the region are also reportedly on alert for possible Iranian retaliation.
President Donald Trump recently called for Iran’s immediate surrender, maintaining a hardline position. However, he stopped short of confirming military involvement and has continued to leave the door open for nuclear talks with Tehran.
The conflict escalated last week when Israel launched airstrikes on Iran. In response, Iran fired a barrage of advanced missiles, some of which partially breached Israel’s Iron Dome defense system.
With both sides entrenched and the U.S. weighing involvement, the risk of a full-scale regional war is rising. Analysts warn of significant geopolitical and economic fallout if hostilities continue to spread.
