DC Comics fans will finally have something to look forward to after Warner Bros. has just announced the virtual DC FanDome on August 22, 2020.
The DC FanDome will be a big treat to DC Comis fans as it will give them more than just a glimpse of their upcoming favorite DC TV shows and films.
According to Entertainment Weekly, not only will it be an online global event but it will also be free and will be streaming for 24 hours which means anyone from around the world would be able to watch it.
Though the DC FanDome is still pretty much in the planning stage, Warner Bros. announced that it will have six different areas that are fully programmed. Fans will see panels and reveals as well as special programmings and screenings.
The event will be a massive undertaking and initially announced to be part of it are the cast of Aquaman, Batwoman, Black Lightning, Wonder Woman 1984, The Batman, Black Adam, Lucifer, DC's Stargirl, Teen Titans GO!, Watchmen, DC Super Hero Girls, Snyder Cut of Justice League, Superman & Lois, Titans, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Young Justice: Outsiders, Doom Patrol, Harley Quinn, Pennyworth, Watchmen, SHAZAM, Supergirl and The Suicide Squad. These shows’ creators will also be joining their respective cast.
Thus, we might not be seeing these titles in the upcoming virtual version of the San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) dubbed as the Comic-Con at Home which will be held from July 22 to 26. The SDCC would have been held last April but it was canceled after the World Health Organization (WHO) elevated the coronavirus disease (CoVid-19) to a pandemic.
Perhaps fans could look forward to seeing the new character of Batwoman, Ryan Wilder, who will be replacing Kate Kane after the departure of Ruby Rose. Or, maybe the premiere date for Lucifer season 5, that is if it will not start before the DC FanDome.
