Profesor titular de Periodismo y Estudios Internacionales. Escribe sobre relaciones internacionales y diplomacia, comunicación y tecnología, así como riesgo político y orden liberal. Es autor de numerosos libros y artículos sobre estas materias, fruto de los trabajos de campo realizados en el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores y Cooperación del Gobierno de España.

Ha trabajado como experto para proyectos de organizaciones no gubernamentales, instituciones políticas y partidos políticos. Con ellos, dibuja escenarios políticos y colabora al diseño de estrategias políticas y acciones de reputación, influencia y gestión de la confianza.

Es miembro del consejo editorial de Esglobal.com, revista de referencia del periodismo internacional en español. Ha servido como miembro del consejo científico del Real Instituto Elcano (2014-2019). Ha sido finalista del Premio Citi Journalistic Excellence Award 2015 en España por el texto “Hubs, ejes de industria y conocimiento en el siglo XXI”, publicado en la Revista Economía Exterior (Verano, 69, 2015).
