Many former White House staff members of current and previous administrations have dived into writing books about their experiences working under the administrations they have served. White House adviser Ivanka Trump may soon be one of them as she was reportedly approached to write about her time as an adviser to her father, Donald Trump.
First reported by the New York Post, Ivanka was said to be approached to write a tell-all book about her time in the White House, all the while considering further pursuits in politics. According to people aware of the matter, Ivanka has been keeping notes from the past four years working as an adviser to her father. The notes Ms. Trump has taken and kept all throughout, according to the source, may be where she bases her third book on. Ivanka has already written two books in 2009 and in 2017, “The Trump Card” and “Women Who Work,” respectively.
The source also noted that Ivanka’s reasons for wanting to write a third book may be to clarify and address issues, including what critics have said about her all throughout the Trump presidency. Among those topics that Ivanka may address in the book was the famous “feud” going on between her and her stepmother Melania Trump, as well as the criticism of being “out of depth” in her advisory role to the president. Ms. Trump may also be writing about what she was able to accomplish in terms of women’s issues, family leave, and others. Ivanka may also address the constant targeting of her by the liberal media, including lawmakers from the Democratic party and the New York attorney general.
Previously, Ivanka and her husband, fellow White House adviser Jared Kushner, were revealed to have purchased a $31 million plot of land on the very exclusive and upscale neighborhood of Indian Creek in Florida. The state is highly speculated to be where Ivanka plans to launch her political career. Nicknamed “Billionaire’s Bunker,” the gated community is its own municipality and is home to many of the country’s wealthiest. 13 police officers guard the exclusive area with some patrolling by boat.
