Ivanka Trump will soon no longer be employed at the White House by Inauguration Day when Joe Biden is sworn in as the next president of the country. The White House adviser has since been scrutinized more than ever even recently when she shared a photo from the Rose Garden.
Ivanka shared a video taken from the White House Rose Garden that has now been covered in snow, marking the first snowfall of the season. It would be the last time Ivanka may see the snowfall from the White House when she departs from her post in January. Users on social media have since mocked her post, noting her father Donald Trump’s defeat in the November elections.
Actor Michael Rapaport responded that it is time for Ivanka to start packing up. Producer Gailen David also responded that the view would be much better for her “behind bars.” David’s insult was also echoed by other Twitter users, referencing the current investigations launched into her father and her supposed involvement. However, other users also noted that she was appointed White House adviser due to her father being the president as well as the renovations done on the landscape. Others also cited the COVID-19 pandemic and the increasing number of deaths in the country.
The US leads the world in COVID-19 deaths with over 300,000 Americans dead and millions infected. The numbers continue to rise even as the first vaccinations for coronavirus have already been administered.
This is the latest among Ms. Trump’s social media posts in which she has received a lot of heat and insults thrown her way. Ivanka recently blasted the lockdown guidelines and claimed that the measure was not based on science when she shared a video of a restaurant owner arguing with a health inspector. In the video, the health inspector was giving the owner a citation for failing to follow lockdown guidelines by staying open.
“These blanket lockdowns are not grounded in science. These arbitrary rules imposed by callous politicians are destroying lives. It is just wrong for small business owners to have [to] fight so hard to keep the American dream alive,” tweeted Ivanka.
Ms. Trump’s tweet has also been criticized by netizens, who noted her father’s approach to tackling the pandemic.
