Song Joong Ki is set to star in a new drama called “Vincenzo.” This will be his follow-up to his comeback series “Arthdal Chronicles” that also aired on tvN last year.
New cast addition
Some of the cast members who will act alongside Song Joong Ki have been previously revealed, and they are Jeon Yeo Bin and 2PM’s Ok Taecyeon. They were the confirmed ones and recently
South Korea’s Sports News reported that Kwak Dong Yeon has been added to the lineup. The 23-year-old actor was said to be taking on the role of a powerful businessman named Jang Han Seo, He is the president of the Babel Group and this will be another challenging role for his because he will be portraying someone who has wealth and power but has a violent character.
He uses his power to abuse and manipulate others without feeling guilty. He is rich since birth but it seems he grew up without feeling loved as reflected in his demeanor. But then again, he is this kind of person but inside, he is a lonely kid who is full of fears.
Apparently, he is likely to be Song Joong Ki’s rival or enemy. By the sound of it, he will have lots of confrontations with Song Hye Kyo’s ex-husband’s character as an Italian lawyer.
On the other hand, Jeon Yeo Bin will be Hong Cha Young who works in the same law firm as Song Joong Ki’s Vincenzo Cassano character. For Ok Taecyeon, he is Cha Young’s junior Jang Jun Woo, an intern who assists in the office.
In any case, Kwak Dong Yeon despite being young, already appeared in many dramas like “My Husband Got a Family,” “Modern Farmer,” “Fight My Way,” “My ID is a Gangnam Beauty,” Love in the Moonlight” and more. Truly, with his acting prowess, he is a great addition in this new Song Joong Ki’s drama.
Joong Ki’s upcoming movies
Meanwhile, fans will see Song Joong Ki in the movie “Space Sweepers.” This was supposed to be released this month but it was postponed due to the surge of coronavirus cases in South Korea. The new premiere date has yet to be announced. Finally, “Vincenzo” is set to be released in 2021.
