Senior Research Fellow in Applied Health Research, University of Stirling
I am an applied health researcher with a particular interest in intervention development and evaluation. My clinical background is in occupational therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy. I received my PhD whilst still working in clinical practice. In 2004, I was awarded the first Nursing Midwifery and Allied Health Professions Research Training scheme's post-doctoral research fellowship which I undertook at The University of Stirling. I am currently a senior research fellow in the Scottish Government Chief Scientist Office’s Nursing Midwifery and Allied Health Professions Research Unit, which is hosted jointly by The University of Stirling (where I work) and Glasgow Caledonian University. I am a founding member of the Royal Society of Edinburgh's Young Academy of Scotland.
