Dr. Young is a professor in sport psychology, talent development and expert learning. He seeks to understand how athletes can optimize the psychology of their practice efforts to get the most out of their training, to enhance skill acquisition, and to ensure that enhanced skills transfer to the competitive context. He is particularly interested in how athletes take control of their own efforts at learning.
