Donald Trump is still not ready to leave the White House yet as he still could not acknowledge Joe Biden’s win in the Nov. 3 election. Still, there was a point when he almost accepted his loss because, in a leaked email, it was learned that he already instructed his staff to start cleaning the White House and take home personal belongings as they prepare to depart for the coming of Joe Biden.
The departure instructions from the Trump administration
It was reported that all the White House staff received an email from the executive, and it was a memo containing detailed instructions on how they should vacate the official residence of the POTUS. One of the instructions even directed the staff to clean the office microwave and emptying desks and cabinets.
As per the Daily Mail, the email also provided information such as when the employees will receive their last paychecks and when to leave the building. They were also instructed to return any presidential gifts they might have received.
"Employees will receive a comprehensive checklist in the coming days,” part of the leaked email reads. “As an initial step, please take inventory of your office and understand you are responsible for the following list of tasks that need to be completed.”
The cancellation of the departure instructions
The email came a few weeks when Joe Biden is set to take his oath at the inauguration on Jan. 20, 2021. However, it was reported that Donald Trump immediately retracted the orders to clean the White House and prepare for their departure.
Apparently, Donald Trump changed his mind again and went back to his insistence that there was a massive voter fraud, which was why he lost. He now continues again with his efforts to overturn the results and refuse to accept Biden’s win even after the Electoral College already affirmed the outcome of the election.
Donald Trump clearly is not conceding that he even suggested that perhaps, the next administration will still be under his leadership. As of this time, with just a few weeks left, he is still working.
"Send me a suitable bill, or else the next administration will have to deliver a COVID relief package, and maybe that administration will be me, and we will get it done," the POTUS said in a clip that was posted on Twitter on Dec. 23.
