Melania Trump and Donald Trump posed for their annual official Christmas portrait, and this was released to the public on Dec. 19 via social media. While the photo looks great, some netizens commented that the photo is fake.
A fake photo theory
Conspiracy theorists suggest that Melania Trump may have photoshopped the photo and simply placed a cropped picture of her husband. The snap shows the First Couple in their matching tuxedos and featuring a White House staircase in the background.
It was also indicated that the photo was taken by Andrea Hanks. However, remarks about its authenticity flooded the comments section because many think it was a photoshopped portrait. They are saying the First Couple did not pose for the snap but simply used their old photos and put them together.
“Weirdest cut and paste job ever seen,” Bret Howard wrote. “They both look two-dimensional cut-outs/ anime, superimposed onto a screen. DT’s face is from a prior photo. Bizarre until the very end.”
While another one uploaded a photo of Donald Trump and insisted that it was where the president’s image was lifted, he was standing beside Prince Charles in the snap. The said picture was captioned, “What a lovely photo (shop). Was Donald lifted out of a photo from this same meeting?”
Other signs of photoshopping as pointed out by the netizens
As per In Style, Melania Trump’s right arm was totally concealed in the frame, suggesting that it was probably cut when combined with Donald’s image. Also, they said that the POTUS was not even looking at the camera, so he and the FLOTUS did not really pose for this.
Meanwhile, this is Melania Trump’s last Christmas celebration and portrait at the White House as the entire Trump family is set to leave the official residence of the US president on Jan. 20. The Electoral College already confirmed Joe Biden as the winner in the Nov. 3 polls.
Melania and Donald Trump are rumored to be moving back to Florida and live in their Mar-A-Lago property. However, it seems that they will have problems as the residents there wrote to the mayor to stop the couple from moving into the neighborhood.
