Hershey's just announced the release of its Christmas candy selection lineup and it includes a new Reese’s flavor and KISSES chocolates in new foil wrappings. The chocolate maker unveiled a total of 13 new items for the upcoming holidays this year.
Fox Business reported that The Hershey’s Company launched its Christmas-themed chocolates on Tuesday, Sept. 14, and so far, it is the largest holiday lineup that it introduced. Most of the items are popular Hershey’s chocolate brands that have updated wrappings and flavors while for Reese’s, it also has one flavor that will be released for the first time.
The company unveiled the candies as part of its preparations for the holiday season. This has been a tradition for the Derry Township, Pennsylvania headquartered firm for years.
"The holidays are a time to create new special memories, so we wanted to make sure your season is sweet in a big way with your favorite flavors, fun holiday shapes, and new ways to enjoy the treats and tastes you love," Hershey’s senior associate brand manager, holiday team, Melissa Blette, said in a press release. "This season is our biggest line-up of holiday offerings so, no matter how you are spending the holidays this year, there is a treat waiting for you to enjoy all to yourself or with a loved one."
In any case, Hershey’s sugar cookie flavor is returning this year as part of the Christmas candies lineup. It debuted under the Kisses brand last year and it is coming back due to popular demand. However, this year, fans will be treated to a bar form chocolate instead of the regular bite-size.
As for Reese’s lineup, it will include the new Peanut Brittle Cups that are making its appearance for the first time. Popular Christmas characters and icons such as the Grinch, snowman, the Gingerbread boy, and others will be in the wrappers of the featured chocolate brands too.
The Grinch will be on the 10 different Hershey’s Kisses foils and the others are used in KitKat and Whoppers. The holiday chocolates will be sold from less than a dollar up to $15 depending on the sizes and packs.
In any case, as mentioned on Good Morning America, customers will find the Christmas candies in stores across the U.S. but only for a limited time. The available 13 new treats from Hershey’s are Reese’s Peanut Brittle Flavored Cups, Reese’s Snack Size Trees Giant Gift Box, Reese’s Snack Size Trees 4-pack, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups Yardstick, Reese’s Peanut Butter Ugly Sweater, Kisses Milk Chocolate Chocolates with Grinch Foils, Hershey’s Sugar Cookie Flavored Bar, Kisses Milk Chocolates with Grinch Foils Cane, Kit Kat Gingerbread Cookie Flavored Miniatures, York Peppermint Pattie Snowflakes, Whoppers Snowballs Theater Box, Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Reindeer, and Heath Toffee Milk Chocolate Miniatures.
