President Donald Trump served as the final speaker at the annual CPAC conference over the weekend. Trump obviously took this as an opportunity to make fun of his Democratic rivals during his address.
Trump, along with many top members of his administration, attended the Conservatives conference or CPAC, where he was to give the last keynote speech to many of his supporters. Because Trump is currently focused on his reelection campaign, he took his time as the keynote speaker to take a jab at a number of his rivals from the Democrats, namely Mike Bloomberg and Joe Biden. Trump has often attacked the former New York mayor for his height, whether verbally or on social media for everyone to see. During CPAC, he did it again and then mentioned how Bloomberg fared during his debut at a Democratic presidential debate.
The President commented, perhaps to his satisfaction, how Senator Elizabeth Warren debated with Bloomberg during that time. “She was really mean to Mini Mike, I’ll tell you - the way she treated him. He didn’t know what hit him!” said Trump, who then tried to act out how he thought Bloomberg would have reacted during the debate.
After Bloomberg, Trump also mocked former Vice President Joe Biden and this time for his age. He commented that Biden would not actually do his job if he ever gets elected in November. Trump went on to say that Biden would be in some nursing home while other people do the work for him. “He’s just going to be sitting at a home someplace,” said Trump.
He also took another shot at teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg, who was also named Time magazine’s Person of the Year.
At the same time, over the weekend, the latest episode of Saturday Night Live also delivered what might be a spot-on jab at the President. During the Weekend Update segment hosted by Colin Jost and Michael Che, a photo of the stock market next to Trump’s face was shown, while Jost started off by saying “Ths stock market this week posted its largest point loss in history, which a lot of people are now referring to as the Trump Slump,” to which he follows with, “And by a lot of people, I mean me. The same way when Trump says ‘a lot of people’ are saying something, he just means he is.”
